Shuttleworth Birds of Prey Centre
Shuttleworth Park, Old Warden
A family run business with over 50-years of experience in Falconry. Situated within the Old Warden estate in a carefully created woodland setting simulating as near as possible to the birds natural surroundings.
Home to over 300 birds of various species including Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and Vultures.
Bird of Prey Centre opens daily from February with flying demonstrations at 11.30, 13.30 and 15.00.

Whipsnade Animal Park

A 600 acre zoo run by the ZSL, who also run London zoo. This is where the big animals live! Set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is home to over 2,500 rare and exotic animals including lions, elephants, rhinos, lemurs and leopards.
Open year round.
30th March to 13th September: Saturdays and Weekdays 10.00 - 18.00. Sundays and Bank Holidays 10.00 - 19.00.
14th September to 11th October: 10.00 - 18.00.
12th October to 25th October: 10.00 - 17.00.
26th October to February 2009: 10.00 - 16.00.
Woburn Safari Park
Quite apart from Woburn Abbey and Deer Park is Woburn Safari Park. A drive through the park takes about an hour and you see lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos, zebreas, antelopes, elephants, monkeys and apes, to name but a few. There is also a foot safari zoo to meet many more animals close up including lemurs, penguins, sea lions, monkeys and kangaroos. A visit to the park will take a whole day. There are several special packages including the carnivores' breakfast and the opportunity to become a ranger for a day.

A 30 metre square hedge maze set within an orchard with resting benches and secret corners ideal for relaxing and enjoying a picnic. Large open space all round the maze is ideal for children to play.
